As the demolition of the dangerous level crossing in the west continues, the children of Kool Kidz Childcare paid a special visit to the Robinsons Road project team last week, where they can try on personal protective equipment, take photos with a 5-ton excavator and ask about the construction The problem of the team.

This event was held to thank the Kool Kidz community for their continued patience and support after the start of the main project on Robinsons Road this year.

The main works of Robinsons Road include the excavation of the railway line and the construction of a bridge for the train to safely cross the road underpass in 2022. Other projects include the completion of the service relocation project and the construction of a new service road near Kool Kidz Childcare on Westwood Drive.

The new road underpass will provide greater safety, reduced travel time, better local connections and easier access to services.

To date, as part of the earthwork plan, we have removed 29,000 cubic meters of material. After the project is completed, 42,000 cubic meters will be demolished, which is equivalent to 17 Olympic swimming pools.

To complete the construction of the new road, we used 50 and 80 ton excavators to dig out the soil.

The gates of Deer Park and Ardeer can close up to 45% of the morning peak, when up to 37 trains pass through the intersection. We will continue to work with Kool Kidz to manage the impact of the entire project.
